Margot will usually display aggressive behaviour towards men so it was fantastic for us to see how you were able to work with her and get her to focus on you. We appreciated how you demonstrated recall training with Margot using the long lead. "Szab helped me greatly with my dog who had recently been rescued and who I was fostering with a view to adopting. Her age and past history were unknown and although she seemed to have bonded well with me and was very calm and happy around the house and very friendly with people, I was concerned about her reactivity/lead aggression with other dogs and her guarding behaviour in the garden. This was making me hesitate to adopt her.
I completed an initial background questionnaire, after which Szab visited my home with a colleague for a consultation during which we discussed my dogs genetics and breed characteristics, diet, feeding times and possible reasons for the concerning behaviour. This was followed by a walk where Szab observed my dog's behaviour and demonstrated the techniques for managing which he felt would benefit both myself and my dog. This practical demonstration was particularly helpful and showed the value of positive reinforcement which lead quickly to improvement.
The tailored behaviour report and training plan which Szab subsequently provided has been invaluable and was packed full of advice, techniques, guidance and further recommendations for the future. When there have been minor setbacks, the ongoing support via a WhatsApp group has been reassuring. The service that Szab provided gave me the confidence that I could positively change, manage and improve my dog's behaviour. Happily, I have now officially adopted my dog and we continue to progress together. "
